Continental East Development, a locally-based real estate development company focusing on commercial and large residential properties, today announced Rico’s Barbershop as a recent addition to Antelope Square, beginning February 2012. Confirmed tenants to the recently acquired shopping center include: anchors, Walgreens and Jack in the Box, as well as Schieffer Real Estate Group, Hole-N-One Donuts & Bagels, JJ Revolving Sushi Bar & Chinese Restaurant, Submarina California Subs, Wood Rock Fire Pizzeria and Top 1 Nail & Salon. On the border of Murrieta and Menifee, Antelope Square is an 84,000 square foot retail center ideally located on the southeast corner of Scott Road and Antelope Road.

“Within the hair care industry, Rico’s is not just a name but a distinction among diversity with a culture suitable to all ages and both genders,” said Charles Washington, owner, Rico’s Barbershop. “Team Rico also takes pride in servicing the military, senior citizens, disabled, as well as first responders and we look forward to welcoming them to our newest location in the Valley.”

“We are so excited for Rico’s Barbershop to open its second location at Antelope Square. They have been successful in its other Murrieta location and we look forward to seeing them thrive as they expand,” said Lydia Percia, Vice President and Co-Founder, Continental East Development.

Rico’s Barbershop chose the 1204 square foot Antelope Square space as its second Murrieta site (the other off Murrieta Hot Springs Road) due to its central location and convenience to potential customers that desire to walk from the local neighborhoods as well as convenient freeway access. Rico’s Barbershop will be open Tuesday through Thursday 10am to 7pm, Friday 9am to 7pm, and Saturday 8am to 5pm. Closed Mondays.

Continental East Development is striving to provide new food services along with other desired amenities that will help boost business in the area instead of forcing locals to shop and dine elsewhere. CED has revised Antelope Square’s previous development plans and changed the large location that was once slated as a bank pad to a much needed drive thru coffee shop and café/bistro with outdoor seating. The result will be an ideal spot for business lunch meetings and weekend dining with the family or a casual night out. Groundbreaking for the new Coffee Shop and Bistro is anticipated April 2012.
